To the Editor: I read with interest “Need a Doctor in the Air? Fly With One” (Practical Traveler, March 16), on medical emergencies on airplanes. It had particular pertinence for me. I was returning from Portland, Ore., to New York on JetBlue when I was overcome by severe stomach pains and bloating; I was in agony.
