Letter: Helping the Poor To the Editor: Regarding “Slum Visits: Tourism or Voyeurism” (March 9): As a parent of Indian descent who volunteers time and money to charitable organizations working in poor areas around the world, I read this piece with much interest. Having visited a slum in India just this past January, the title stopped me in my tracks.
